Check when your Repair Caf\u00e9 will open again!<\/h3>\n

More and more people are vaccinated against COVID-19. In most countries, public life is gradually resuming. Repair Caf\u00e9s will probably be able to reopen soon as well, in all likelihood with extra measures regarding hygiene and keeping your distance.<\/p>\n

Repair Caf\u00e9 International advises everyone to keep a close eye on the COVID regulations in their country and to comply with them. Then we will get the virus under control the quickest and we can come together again safely, for example to repair together!<\/p>\n

Still no Repair Cafes for the time being<\/h3>\n

Repair Caf\u00e9 meetings are still not possible in most countries. The situation around the COVID-19 virus doesn’t allow it.<\/p>\n

Repair Caf\u00e9 International advises everyone to comply with the COVID rules in their country. It’s the only way to get the virus under control\u00a0and once again start repairing together.\u00a0<\/span>We hope to be able to share better news soon!<\/p>\n

Repair Caf\u00e9 in the 1.5 meter society<\/h3>\n

For Repair Caf\u00e9 organizers who are considering to reopen, we now have a special document available. This document, called Ideas for Repair Caf\u00e9 in the 1.5 meter society<\/a>, offers a lot of ideas for organizing safe repair events in your community during the coronacrisis.<\/p>\n

This document was created by volunteers from various Repair Caf\u00e9s in different countries, in collaboration with Repair Caf\u00e9 International. More ideas are still welcome (see contact details of those involved in the document). You can also ask questions and share advice via the Repair Caf\u00e9 forum<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Will your Repair Caf\u00e9 open again?<\/h3>\n

The summer holidays are (almost) over and Repair Caf\u00e9s in various countries are preparing for a restart. In many places, extra measures have been taken to be able to work safely, with extra hygiene facilities and sufficient distance between people.<\/p>\n

However, not all Repair Caf\u00e9s will reopen yet. Some don’t dare to do it yet, some don’t have enough space or don’t have permission of the property manager.<\/p>\n

\nDo you want to know if your Repair Caf\u00e9 will start again in September? Then contact the organizer! Note: the opening hours on Repaircafe.org\/en\/visit<\/a> are general days and times. These do not take into account special situations, such as the corona limitations. Therefore always contact the organizer of your Repair Caf\u00e9 in advance!<\/p>\n

Gradual easing of corona measures<\/h3>\n

In many countries, corona measures are currently being relaxed gradually. Unfortunately, it is not possible for Repair Caf\u00e9 International to follow daily information about regulations, prohibitions and restrictions for all countries and regions with sufficient accuracy. That is why we cannot advise about hosting Repair Caf\u00e9s in all countries. We refer English speaking organisers to one of the following websites:<\/p>\n

UK: government website with information about what you can and can’t do<\/a>;
\nUS: government website with information about community events in corona times<\/a>;
\nCanada: government website about the coronavirus disease<\/a>;
\nAustralia: government website with information about the easing of restrictions<\/a>.<\/p>\n
